Being a creative innovator is a lot of fun! I love puzzling out the best way to make a quilt block, or layout a quilt top. With every quilt, or quilt pattern I make there are so many ways to create the desired outcome, but which one is ideal for everyone? The best part is that while using my creative brain to sort out all of these details, I’m almost always inspired with another idea too. Ideas just keep coming!

Creative Affirmation

I am an innovator. I am a thinker. I am a creator and I believe in me.

While most of the patterns that I create are not overly difficult, they do take a level of ingenuity to determine the best way make it. And for you as a quilter, you are constantly making design decisions and thinking through the process as you create. Believing in and trusting your creativity, go a long way in making a successful outcome.

How are you being an innovator today? Did you adjust your color placement in a project? Or maybe you altered the size of the quilt pattern with more blocks, or borders?

Each little tweak is proof of your innovation! I hope you will take a moment to step back and acknowledge your wins, and then move forward to the next project.

Use that proof today, to encourage more creativity in the decisions you are making creatively. You never know what will come up next!
