Looking for some extra sunshine? Our Sunshine block is the perfect dose of happy in a quilt! I love the simplicity of the Sunshine block from the Heartland Heritage pattern.
Sunshine
Sunshine is made with half-square triangle units, which is hopefully second nature for you by now!
Having three fabrics in the block makes it very simple to cut and sew the needed blocks in an afternoon.
Quick Tip
My tip for you this month is to follow the instructions carefully. They are simple and straight forward, but definitely make a difference in how easily the blocks go together!
Sewing on the line, instead of a 1/4″ away can make a big change in these cute blocks.
Pressing the block centers as directed makes for an easy nesting situation for the seam allowances.
I love it when a plan works out like I had hoped!
We’d love to see your Sunshine blocks over on the Inspiring Stitches blog! Each month we have a link collector set up to showcase your blocks, it’s so fun to see everyone’s fabric choices!
