My hands are an extension of my heart, and so creating with them creates a heart made item. This can be anything we make – dinner, quilts, pencil pouches, paintings. The list goes on and on!
Creative Affirmation
I create with my hands and from my heart.
This affirmation confirms why so many quilters, continue to make quilt. They want to offer a hug when not nearby. They want to celebrate a milestone with a tangible gift of love. Quilters also love that quilts are useful and don’t have to “fit” a body. Having a way to use my creativity in a therapeutic and meditative way is brilliant.
Even if you aren’t a quilter – I encourage everyone to have a creative outlet to grow and explore creativity with. Heart made items are truly special and one of a kind gifts.
What are you creating with your hands and heart this week? The quilt shown in my images is definitely made with a lot of love. There’s nearly 300 3″ blocks and I loved every moment that I put into the making of the quilt.

Quilt Details:
Made with a scrappy mix of background and yellow fabrics.
Originally patterned for Curated Quilts
The Comfort Quilt has similar feel without as many blocks.
All those 3 inch blocks! I love it! Loved your Heart Made post!
I’m continuing to make Ukraine-related blocks to help ease my anxiety over this horrifying war.
