How’s the Comfort Quilt coming for you? I’m loving all the block images on Instagram! If you aren’t on IG you can also post in my facebook group here.

Week two Check in:

To be totally honest, the last week was super full and I’ve fallen a little behind on the schedule.

Week 2 of the #ComfortQuiltQAL

I did piece the prescribed blocks, but I haven’t finished cutting all the backgrounds. Last week I was vending at the local UQSM show, and was happy to meet many of you there! Thanks for taking the time to say “hi”!

Week three

We are getting to the fun part of the quilt along, all the cutting should be done, and ready for the chain piecing! I asked about chain-piecing last week on IG and had a lot of fun commentary on this post.

  • Make the listed number of large and small blocks on your schedule.
  • Post your finished blocks, use #ComfortQuiltQAL to share with the group.

Be sure to use the #ComfortQuiltQAL hashtag on all your posts so that everyone can find you. It will be a fun way to interact as we sew!

Have questions about the quilt-along? I’d love to help! Leave a note in the comments and I’ll answer there so everyone can benefit.

Happy Quilting –

Amy

Here’s some of the fun happening on Instagram:

Kudos to those of you cutting more than a throw size! I just caught up cutting a throw. All from my stash, although I was tempted by some of the great background fabrics showing up on this feed … I was restrained, for now. Sewing might have to wait just a little. This is week#2 of #comfortquiltqal hosted by @amyscreativeside. Thanks for the schedule and the great pattern! #modernheritagequilts #scrappyquilt #seweveryday
