Hi there! The Blogger’s Quilt Festival always takes more of my time than I’m expecting. I’m back and excited to share, Slab, another quilt that I’ve made this year.
Slab
Slab was made and patterned for the Curated Quilts Minimalistic Issue. We had a lot of fun exploring the less is more idea in this issue.
When I think of minimalistic, my first thought is usually “white” with lots of “open” space. I made this quilt a personal challenge to be minimal without the use of white. The rectangle that looks white, is actually pale pink.
Slab is a comfy throw size that I quilted with lots of straight lines and circles. I even used a blue thread over all the different colors. With a minimalistic quilt, add quilting lines was my first inclination, but in the end I wanted to add a bit of depth with the circles.
I used Bella Solids from Moda, and the pattern is included in Issue 3 of Curated Quilts.
Thanks for stopping by!

Great quilt and great quilting too! Is that a panto? if so the name? Thanks!
I have been following your blog for a short time and love your style. Your quilts are varied and beautiful. And by reading throughout your blogs I found that I have several books that have your quilts. Thanks for blogging and encourage us sometime quilters who are heading a little further down the road.
