Last week I finished all my Dancing Stars blocks and was so excited to put them together into a top.
It took me a couple nights of intense sewing (the best kind, right?) and multiple episodes of Parenthood on Netflix – I have a quilt top!
98 blocks 6″ each, set on point; the top measures 60″ x 68″. I actually started piecing the blocks in March, and worked on it when possible for four months.
The prints are a variety from my stash, with a white on white print from Architextures, and this Chambray print by Rachel Ashwell, I love the touch of texture the print adds.  I’m adding this top to my quilting cue, and hope to get to it soon!
You can make your own Dancing Stars quilt too – the pattern is available here.
More soon!
Amy
Love this Amy! Yay on finishing the top!
Wow, that is gorgeous. I am liking it a whole bunch.
This is a wonderful quilt top. They really look like they are dancing. This would be so cool for a baby with baby prints. Thanks for the idea. Thanks also for the pattern.
This quilt came together beautifully. Looking forward to seeing how you quilt it. Exciting opportunity for ruler and FMQ.
Have a great day.
Always, Queenie
This is looking awesome! I plan to make mine this size too. But haven’t worked on these since April. Need to speed up. Otherwise, this will turn into a baby size quilt.
Thanks for the inspiration.
I really do love this! It is so stunning. I can’t wait to see how you quilt it.
I’ve been wanting to see your stars made up into a quilt! It’s a fabulous layout! Very cheery and I love the way it almost twinkles.
Fabulous – so much movement and LIFE in this quilt. Really fun and summery!!!!
It’s so fabulous Amy! Mine is buried on my sewing table……
I love this so much I just went and downloaded the pattern!! So fun and versatile! Great work!
