Today, will be a creative day! I’ve pulled my fabrics, decided on my plan – It will happen.
I know I destashed a while back, but I didn’t let everything go. My GO! cutter will make for a fun day (or hour) of cutting, I think I’ll return later today with a pile of pieces!
What are you working on today?
Amy
I WILL finish a quilt for the quilt ministry!
ooh I like your fabric choices!
I would love to spend an hour on your Go cutter, instead I’m cutting strips of Tufted Tweets with my Rotary cutter today. And having a hard time at it too! I’m dead certain I’ve got all the grains straight, I’ve checked, double checked, pulled threads, even ripped the fabric to check! But the print’s are sloping slightly ..odd `:S
Looking forward to see what your making!
I’m working on a Far, Far Away and Castle Peeps quilt for my daughter for Christmas. I’ve just spent all night cutting and fussy cutting the fabrics, the design is worked out and hopefully sewing tomorrow.
How yummy, the colors remind me of fall leaves!
I got up at 4:30 am, this morning, raring to go. I started making a clutch from an Amy Butler pattern out of some Julie Paschkis from In The Beginning Fabrics. Now, sadly, at the office.
That’s a pretty stack of fabric!
Can’t wait to see what you do with all of that beautiful fabric! I used my GO! cutter for the first time this week and I love how fast it went (i used the tumbler die). Hopefully, I will get a couple of rows sewn today!
For me, I am almost finish with the bed size disappearing 9-patch quilt. It is at the stage where the piecing has become minimal. To solve that, I started my first fussy cutting for a baby quilt (no pictures yet need to wait for the sunshine). On top of that, I am slowly doing the grandmother’s quilt (the short cut method) by paper piecing (for me, that is the only way).
Loving the color choices. I can’t wait to see what you do with your Go! I need me some ideas.
I’m fighting a headace today, so i dont see much gettig done but heck its a friday i’m good with not much. Weekends certainly are not dads off for mom. The fabrics look cute. I like that you using solids i think may of us had gone to using all prints all the time.
I am cutting a jelly roll to make a friendship quilt. Hopefully all my cutting will be done by today so that I can start sewing.
I love you fabric colors!
I just started a Farmer’s Wife with one quilt group and joined another group doing a Dear Jane. Whoa! I think that will keep me busy for awhile.
I had never seen a Go! Cutter. I just looked at a video demo. It seems to waste a lot of fabric and be a bit cumbersome to use. How do you like it and what advantages are there in using it?
I love my new GO! I cut HST for a small pillow in like 3 minutes!
In sewing, I am working on the binding of the baby quilt that i have been working on!
And I am working on being able to give away an Go! Cutter! On my blog, the people at Accuquilt want me to have 100 followers first! so I have a little contest for extra draw entries on my blog for anyone who follows me and helps me get to 100!
I am very excited to soon be able to give one of these bad boys away!!
Squaring up my wall quilt, starting the binding. Maybe a little something small as well. We’ll see, it’s 11am and I’ve had a school fundraising meeting, a fundraising phone call (different schools!), and I’ve done nothing yet.
I currently have three WIPs but decided, of course, that was not enough. I joined in on a sew along with Cheryl over at So Many Quilts, So Little Time and started on the first two blocks. Finished one before noon and will do the second after lunch if I ever take a break from reading everybodies blogs – so much fun! I love the fabrics!
I just accidentally bid on and won a GO! Fabric Cutter 55100 for $37.28. I was intending to click and get some information on the product prior to bidding when ooops…..I bid!
