How often do you  look at your list of quilt projects and work in progress quilts, and get overwhelmed? I know that feeling of overwhelm, and it’s not fun! As a hobby quilting should be a fun outlet for our creativity, and not a source of agitation. Instead let’s do something together and spur each other into action!

A couple of weeks ago I posed this same question to my newsletter, and had a very positive response. I’m excited to report that we’ve been finishing small steps on our in progress projects together ever since. The beauty of this challenge is it can be ANY project you like!

One Thing Challenge

Way back in 2012 I hosted a weekly challenge once a month here on the blog. We had great fun encouraging each other with the challenge, and seeing progress in our projects.  Fast forward to 2019, and I’m hosting it weekly on instagram and via email.

Each Monday we pick just one thing we want to get done and DO it! Learn more at Amyscreativeside.com⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Details⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This is a low-key, no stress challenge. To participate you need to name ONE THING you would like to get done on a project this week, and do it! Then when you finish your goal share it with me or with the group to be entered to win a small prize. The prize changes each week and is made known in the weekly emails.

Each week everyone has the entire week, including the weekend to finish their ONE THING! We want to make progress, without overwhelm. And cheer each other on, as we do! If your week is really full, think about the ONE THING you can do in 10 minutes, and name that.Sewing a block, or finding the border or binding fabric for the named project totally counts!

By creating positive outcomes big and small, you will create more positivity in your sewing space too. Win-Win!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I look forward to getting things done with you and see what you are working on! Each week is a little different, sometimes we finish our goal and keep going with more. Then there are the weeks we struggle to find that 10 minutes to get our goal done. The key to the challenge, is to just keep trying! Tomorrow will be better, or offer it’s own challenges, but we keep showing up. Little by little we make progress!

I hope you are making time for you, and your projects today!
