The Heartland Heritage block for April is Posy. Posy is an adorable small block that packs a punch!
These little units are so fun to make, and add a great pop of color to your quilt.
For this quilt I’m using my Wanderlust fabrics, however my original quilt is super scrappy!

If you are making the quilt from your scrap bin, this the perfect opportunity to play with color, and scale. Most of these fabrics are small scale since the block is small. There’s a few that are larger scale too, which can be really fun to mix in. Just look for a large scale that reads mostly as one color.
Also notice that the small triangles aren’t all the same fabric. I love mixing up the backgrounds in a quilt to add more interest, and don’t let the warm or cool undertones distract you. Up close you definitely notice, but from a distance there’s very little difference.
