Hi there! I’m excited to share a new finish with you––my Paintpots quilt was made for my son Owen, using my Adventures line of fabric. I’ve worked on this quilt slowly this year, between projects, and while quilting for others. It’s been great to have an easy quilt project that I could set aside as needed, and not worry about getting lost in the process.
Paintpots quilt
is a Jelly Roll quilt and this generous throw or comfy twin sized quilt (68″x84″) is made using just one Jelly Roll. I love Jelly Rolls for the variety of fabrics that I’m able to incorporate without a massive price tag for all the individual cuts.
You can see it’s really straight forward, and simple to piece. In the pattern I walk you through all the cuts that need to be made from your Jelly Roll so there’s no guess work.
Owen is fighting off a cold from the first two weeks of school, and was really glad to wrap up in a new quilt over the weekend. Poor guy is feeling crudy, but quilts definitely help!
To quilt this one I used the wandering arrow design I’ve used a few other times. It’s a fun graphic quilting pattern, that I love to size up or down depending on the quilt.
Jelly Roll Day
Did you know that we are celebrating National Jelly Roll Day this month? Yep! September 16th is Jelly Roll Day this year, and I can’t wait to break open a new Jelly Roll and stitch!
Lovely jelly roll quilt! But, I don’t see the link to the pattern anywhere. Am I just overlooking it?
