Hi there! Welcome to Giveaway Day – I have the best little package to giveaway this week!
SMS Giveaway Day - AmysCreativeSide.com

I have made a handmade pouch full of my favorite notions, and a little bit of fabric too! These pouches are the best for teacher gifts, or friends, I love to get little treats or gift cards to put inside to spoil the recipient! And this pouch is for a sewist! Of course if you need a gift you could keep the notions and gift the pouch with other goodies tucked inside. The pouch measures 6″x 9″ perfect to carry on it’s own, or add to a larger handbag.

I have been thinking of what to make as small holiday gifts and it has been a mash up of either cup coasters or pot holders. This gift idea of yours is so much better as you can put a gift of chocolates or something small inside the pouch which is also a gift. I will need to learn how to do the quilting for that personal touch, I definitely need to give it a try. Please pick me :)

Next year will be back to normal, hopefully!

This year I seem to have done more holiday sewing than usual – stockings, potholders, felt heart ornaments and several table runners. And, I decided to make two full-sized Christmas quilts (a gift to me!). Still have to bind them, but now that the tree is up it will be nice to sit near it while I do the hand stitching. I had plans to make a pouch or two as well, but winning one would be so much quicker, and fun too! :)

I am hoping to piece one quilt as a gift for Christmas yet. I am making a Modernized D9P quilt for my son’s girlfriend made from Get A Clue, Nancy Drew fabrics. It was fun to discover that both of us had our Mother’s share their love of reading and the old Nancy Drew Mystery series of books. She was excited to find the fabrics in my stash and she liked the other MD9P quilts I have made. So I have a plan. The fabrics are all ready cut. Thanks for a great giveaway.

I make an ornament for all my family and friends each year and jammies for my children, grandchildren, siblings and my Mom. I start early and try to finish before Thanksgiving. It’s fun and we get together and unwrap our gifts in our jammies! Have a great Christmas! The pouch is lovely and the sewing supplies also. Thank you! :)

Love your little zip pouch. I love making them, too! This Christmas I am making re-usable gift tags for everyone in my family. Some will have a vinyl slot to change the names and others will have permanent, embroidered names. Also making small pillows to hand from a doorknob that have a patch work border and are muslin in the middle with “Believe” hand embroidered on the muslin. Did a few cathedral window ornaments for the first time to give to my cose friends. Looking for easy, fun, and cute ideas to add to the collection.

My 6 year old asked for “fancy” napkins for a mermaid tea party so I am working on place mats with matching napkins that are a novelty mermaid print. I took some smaller test quilt blocks and turned them into mini mug rugs for her as well. Working on a set of quilted coasters to match my in-law’s newly painted living room as well.
