Mod Pod is one of the more inventive blocks in Think Big. At least to me! I wanted to have the curve, but not piece the curve. As I design patterns for a book, I’m looking at the group as a whole, and think about how far a quilter might be willing to go. Curves can be a hard pill for some quilters to swallow, so I decided for this project we would appliqué the curve! And hope that next time a curve is in the pattern they won’t turn the page.

I love the vibrant colors, and gentle curves in Mod Pod. Some of the projects in Think Big I made quilts for, but about half, I made a quilt and runner only. Which is the case for Mod Pod.

Included in the book are images of a 18″ pillow, and 18″ x 108″ runner. The runners and quilts can be made as few or as many blocks as you like, to compliment your table, bed or any other surface you want to put it on. Fabrics featured are Just my Type by Patty Young.
