Have you seen Soak’s curated nail colors? They have nail colors that coordinate with fabric! I was sent this collection recently, and challenged to share my thoughts with you on the product, and a nail design.
I admit this took me longer than I had anticipated to actually do. I was dragging my feet to find something creative to do with them! I do paint my nails often, but usually it’s pretty quick and simple – just enough paint to keep them from breaking, again.
I started with two coats of Mushroom
And Ella, my oldest started with two messy coats of Faded Glamour
We are of the mindset that it will clean up later :)
After much deliberation, I added a line of Deep Chocolate, carefully using the edge of the brush.
Then finished it off with a pop of Hot Opera! I love the look and feel of custom nails!
Ella added some nail tape that I found on eBay, and painted over it.
Since doing her own nails, she’s helped both of her sisters, and a friend all paint their nails in a similar fashion. If you try it, pull the tape off before the polish dries so that you don’t take too much off. Then finish with a top coat.
I love the nail polish. It lasted well, and didn’t chip immediately. The colors are great too, and not necessarily ones that I would purchase, though I have bought quite a few!
You can find the nail polish sets here, and I highly recommend handmaid too – it’s a great lotion, not too creamy, but definitely moisturizes! I was sent the scentless version, which is truly without scent, and perfect for my overactive nose.
Treat your hands to a manicure today!
