One Thing, One Week Challenge :: Link Up 15

**Updated – Winner is Caryn, check out her pile of hexie flowers!

Time to show off your finished goal!  I’m looking forward to seeing all that you accomplished.

Today we link up and show off what we got done. If you haven’t already, go post about it on your blog (or flickr) and come back to link up with your permalink here –  (please only add your link if you added your goal to the comments last week).

For those of you that meet your goal, you will be entered to win a copy of 100 Pretty Little Projects : This book from Lark Books is FULL of fun projects, great projects, with simple instructions that would be fun to do with the kids, or give as gifts for the holidays.

If you haven’t check it out yet, you should! 100 Pretty Little Projects is a great addition to your library.

I did catch up on my blocks!

How did you do?

This one is for Amy Smart.

This is for Erika aka Pink! I had to stop and think “do I know an Erika?” when I got her fabric bundle.

And finally, this one is for Nedra.

I also swapped months with a fellow bee member, and quickly sorted and sent out fabric bundles for August. I’m looking forward to getting these blocks back!

I sent everyone a solid, and 3-4 Echino pieces, and asked that some sort of log cabin block be made.  You can read more about it on our blog, here.

Don’t forget to cheer each other on!   I’ll leave the linky open for two days, and announce a winner on Wednesday.

Can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to!

I finished! In spite of the fact that we are having a heat wave, have no a/c, and my sewing machine and iron are in the hottest room in the house. It is 85° in there when the iron isn’t on, and broiling when it is!

And my project is a mini quilt aka kitchen counter mat to protect my poor formica counter from pans of bar cookies and sheets of rolls. And there is no baking going on here these days LOL.

I finished! I’m very happy with the result :) It’s a buttercup bag (from a free pattern here: )
It’s the first time I’ve made a handbag, plus I added a zip! I’ve used it a lot already and am wondering how many people I can make a handbag for as a gift!
Love your blocks, especially the second one, very effective :)

I can’t believe I had so many hexie’s waiting to be sewed together. It felt great to be caught up for about a day and then I cut into a new pile of fabrics and am at it again. :) I also FINALLY made a decision about the centers, though I’m not quite ready to share it yet.

    Beautiful bee blocks!
