How many different ways do you know how to make Flying Geese? This month I added a new method to my repertoire! I’m always a fan of trying new methods, and love the opportunity to trim down pieces for accuracy in my piecing.
The flying geese ruler HERE, is handy and easy to use. I used a 6 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ ruler to trim my pieces to size and thought that worked well too.
Look at those super sharp points!
If you haven’t seen this project yet – The Bella Skill Builder over at Fat Quarter Shop is a fun sampler pattern that we are sewing month by month, by my friend Sherri McConnell, and today is the third installment! The quilt has a little bit of everything in it – so it’s definitely a skill builder.
Happy Quilting –
