Week 3

This week I tried a few different things, some more successfully than others. I think that is the part I’m enjoying the most so far, the ability to improv one way, then repurpose the same piece if I don’t love it. There’s a lot of freedom in that!

There were lots of leftover strip sets, that I put on the corners of some “squares” of fabric, and arranged in groups of four. There was also some larger strip sets, and little bits of color added as I was inclined.

Sometimes less is more, and leaving the negative space alone is what is needed. This week I plan to start laying out all my blocks/units, and see how they might fit together. I’ve only looked at them individually so far I’m looking forward to the challenge of putting them together.

Hopefully you have a chance to sew something today!

Happy Quilting –
