While at Quilt Market last week, there was lots that I didn’t see, but of course I made my way over to my publisher’s booth! Martingale has been like a family to me, and I was so excited to see this lovely hardcover book on display in their booth – Stitches to Savor.Stitches to Savor - AmysCreativeSide.com

My initial reaction was a twinge of jealousy – I’d love to have a hardcover book of my own title! But as I looked through the book my jealousy dissipated, it’s a stunning coffee table book, brimming with inspiration! Sue Spargo has wonderfully textured quilts with beautiful handwork, and Stitches to Savor really celebrates all her work!

There’s a quick foreword and introduction to the book, then it’s page after page of AMAZING! Here’s a look :

They took flat shots of 12 of Sue’s quilts, then went closer to share the beautiful details with the reader.

I love all the texture in the photographs, you almost feel like you could really touch the quilts with the attention to detail.

Clearly, I need to up my hand stitching skills – I would love to attempt one of her patterns!

The book is page after page of stunning handwork. 140 pages specifically.

I love the variety of composition and fabrics, there’s so much to explore on each page.

I have to admit, I had a lot of fun learning more about Sue while writing this post! She even has a Craftsy course to get us started on our hand stitching adventures. Stitches to Savor is available for pre-order, and shipping this week from Martingale, or Amazon!

Are you currently hand stitching anything? Does this style appeal to you?

I need to pick up my appliqué again!

Happy Monday –
