I’m excited to see your think Big quilt tops out and about online – be sure to tag me if you post (on FB/IG = @amyscreativeside) no pressure though, I’ll be happy to see them this week, or in a year! I totally understand how busy life can be – especially this time of year with the kids back in school and fall sports starting up.

I finished my top up earlier this week, and honestly it’s pretty quick to sew up. We did all the work with the blocks earlier, now it’s just a matter of matching a few points, and stitching up the rows.

I always like to lay my quilts out to be sure that the color is not bunching up anywhere, or making the quilt feel heavy. I realize this isn’t likely with the amount of white involved, but it’s a good habit. Then I can go back to my machine and stitch it up, without having to make decisions. Perfect time to catch up on your favorite tv, maybe?

Outtake from our photo session – my girls are always great to hold a quilt, and this one is large! Measuring 90″ square it was a bit of a challenge to get the entire quilt in the frame, but I’m loving how dynamic it is.

Which block is your favorite in the quilt top?

If you haven’t yet, join the Facebook group, and share your work with us! And don’t worry, there aren’t many that are keeping up with me – you’ll fit right in!
