I have been sewing in masse the last few days – I love Christmas Sewing!
I have a group of seven pouches for various teachers and friends. I found my zippers at zipit on etsy, where you can get as much or little variety in color as you like. I currently have three finished and four more pinned and ready for my next sewing session!
These are the backs and bindings of three table runners I have in the works too! I pieced and quilted them over the weekend, while I indulged in my newest tv addiction : Gilmore Girls. My only question now, why wasn’t I watching them while it was on tv?
The bindings are mostly on, I just need to join the ends, and flip/stitch the binding to the front (by machine).
I am now fully stocked with Think Big! If you would like an autographed copy, they are in my shop!
Are you still Christmas sewing? I’d love to know what you are working on!

RE: Gilmour Girls, doesn’t matter…now you can binge watch it to the end~that is the best way! I’ve rewatched shows that had limited eps (Weeds, Mad Men) much better context when you can watch ’em all! Happy sewing…your zippers look amazing!
where do I get the pouch pattern?!
I’m currently watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix, too!!! It’s a very satisfying show, I must say! Love your Christmas sewing projects, Amy – I need to see pics showing the whole of those pouches in the first pic – your fabrics, pieced bits, and zippers are very enticing!
Happy Christmas!

Oh -and, duh…. I am just finishing up a Betty Bowler bag (Swoonpatterns.com pattern) and making re-usable sandwich wrappers, bulk-food bags, etc for my daughter!
I only caught Gilmore Girls a few times when it originally aired. I am also watching on Netflix. Almost done with Season 1. I already know I will be sorry when I get through Season 7. My Christmas sewing, just isnt getting done :-(
Gilmore Girls – probably because you had a house full of babies!!!
