I have another finish to share! Weave is featured in Interweave’s annual issue, Quilt Scene.
Weave is a fun and simple – graphic quilt. I used my fabrics, Modern Neutrals, from a fat quarter bundle, and some extra yardage.
It was fun to make and quilt! Detail shot:
I quilted down the charcoal fabric with figure 8’s, this really made the rest of the piecing pop, and the pieces are big enough to show off the fabrics a little too.
If you haven’t seen Quilt Scene before – I highly recommend it! Along with projects and great articles, there’s also images of quilts from the International Quilt Festival. It’s truly inspirational and a valuable resource of information.
What are you stitching today?
Amy
Love this quilt, could be great for a male! Without looking at the pattern it looks like you could use a charm pack cut in half?
Amy, as a beginner, I’m trying to spot how quilts were pieced. Are they blocks? Horizontal rows? Are the squares cut off from the rectangles and moved over or did you make the square strip separately and sew it on? I DO LOVE the look of this quilt. Maybe when I’ve got more experience!
Hi Karen – this quilt is made with blocks, and it’s great for a beginner like yourself! The pattern with step by step instructions are in the magazine I linked too in the post.
Fun! Congratulations. :D
This quilt has a fun vibe. I really love the quilting…
