Good afternoon! My week is all mixed up with my kids home on Spring Break, but last night after they all went to bed, I made a little sewing time for myself. For the last few years I’ve been using a yogurt container to keep all the binding necessities in one spot. Boring…I think it happened when I was writing/binding quilts for my first book, I just needed something quick! And I never took the time to make something new.
This is my new binding bag! I used Anna’s tutorial, and added a few of my own details. Like a double zipper, meeting in the center, quilting to the exterior with a layer of batting, and a divider in the lining to keep my binding clips separate from the scissors and thread.
Now I just need a quilt to bind so I can put it to work with me!
I hope you are having a great week – Amy
Lovely!! And, most excellent upgrades to the pattern. Now you can bind in style :o)
Have a great day.
Always, Queenie
This is genius!!!
Wow, you made such a clever pouch! Those modifications are perfect for your needs! What a great small and useful finish!
What a great idea to keep binding supplies contained! I love it! And have you tried the binding clips that Clover makes? I just got some and they are awesome…won’t slip off and very cute to boot :)
I LOVE how you “patchworked” the fabrics together for that, it’s beautiful! I suppose this is a better solution for basting quilts too, instead of dumping the safety pins all over the floor I could ….keep them organized? :o
