While I’m busy with some less exciting details of life, (taxes/sick kids/shipping quilts) I thought I would take the time to share a few details about the quilts in my book! Modern Basics II has been on shelves nearly a month, and I’m looking forward to seeing how creative everyone else is with the patterns.
Sunrise measures 60″ x 72″
Designed and pieced by me with my Baby Lock Melody
Fabrics are by Dear Stella
Queen size option included in the book
This quilt is fun to make – even in the midst of a massive deadline!
I’ve sketched a few samples that I would love to have a chance to make:
Fabrics : Victorian Modern
Fabrics : Asbury
The quilt works together quickly with a quick stitch and flip – I saved my trimmed corners, but have yet to make them up into anything. As usual, there’s some tips for completing this project with ease too!
Which one would you make?
I’ll be back tomorrow with another quilt from Modern Basics II!
Amy
Available on Amazon and in my bookshop!
they are both pretty. but i guess i would start making the bright one. kinda partial to bright colors.
Love them all Amy – Ashbury is really striking!
It’s pretty! I think it would be great scrappy.
I would go with the brighter one – it reminds me of lovely Spanish or Moroccan tiles :-)
I love the original in pink and orange — very eye-catching!
My favorite colors is Sunrise. I love orange and this might be the perfect pattern for me!
I like the Victorian Modern one best… beautiful colors.
I am making this quilt pattern out of batics, green, rust, gold and dusty creamy green, mmm, love this pattern.
