I’ve been loving my hexie’s!  Here’s where I’m at so far in sewing the pieces together:

They go together pretty fast – I’m using 3/4″ templates that I purchased at PaperPieces. I’m excited to see these come together more!

I bound an entire quilt, by machine.  In the past I’ve experimented with it on smaller items, table runners or pillow covers, but never a quilt.  Guess what? I love the look of the blanket stitch on the edge!  If you  haven’t ventured into it, take a look at Pat’s tutorial, she has a video to clearly demonstrate how she does it.  The only change to her instructions I made, was 2 1/4″ double fold binding, just as I usually do.

I just need to secure the corners, wash and photograph, and I’ll be ready for the Festival!

Last week I found a few Art Gallery basics at Tactile Fabrics to stash! Jennifer includes a free fat quarter with every purchase, and shipped within the hour! There’s a sale happening right now ;)
