About a month ago, I received a charm pack of Bella, by Lotta Jansdotter. While trying to think up a clever project for the fabric, I was busy making preparations for BQF, and all the usual happenings in our family. I never put that charm pack away though! I didn’t want to forget about it! Out of sight, out of mind…

Finally, inspiration struck and I pulled a few coordinating solids. Within a few hours, I had a new table runner!

I love the organic feel of the fabric and my piecing – it’s so easy, I thought I would share a few steps.

I paired each charm with one of five solids, and sewed down two, opposite sides.

Then I cut them open. Some are cut at the center, and others are random.

Then I stacked them in three columns, and sewed them up! After I had my columns sewn, I decided to cut one in half on the length. I didn’t match any seams, and simply love the outcome.
