Graduation is one of the quilts from Modern Basics – I love the proportions of it, and the LACK of blocks.  It makes for a fast quilt, and great for a beginner!

I re-made Graduation, and took lots of pictures to offer it as a workshop over at Craftsy.com.

Are you familiar with Craftsy yet?  They have a great site, and a great community growing around the classes and workshops being offered.  You should run over there and make yourself an account!  The Workshop section has detailed, online patterns and the Graduation workshop includes a pdf download straight from Modern Basics.

Of course, I shared some of my organization tips for quilting.  Since I sew at the kitchen table, I cannot leave pieces out, and expect them to have not transformed into a fork blanket, or cup cozy while my back is turned.  But, if they are collected and stacked together, my kiddos know to not touch.  I do keep scraps around for them though – just in case they feel like helping!

As one of my loyal readers, I have a special link for you!  If you would like to have me walk you through the making of Graduation, click over and join the fun.

I also have two spots in the workshop to giveaway!

Just leave me a comment, maybe with your ideal color palette for this quilt, and you’ll be entered to win.

I’ll select  winners on Thursday, December 1 –

Good luck!
