I need to be accountable, or these are not going to get finished!
I made place mats for our family, and a couple little mug rugs with the extra bits. They are quilted, and ready to be bound…my goal, is to have them done and posted here sometime on Saturday.
Now to go make a *few* binding decisions.
What do you need quilty accountability for?
Happy quilting ~ Amy
I feel accountable to mail swap items at least a week early.
Hey Amy, maybe you want to try my machine binding method that I just posted this week. It is great for placemats and mug rugs that will be washed often.
You can do it!!!
I keep coming up with new projects and forgetting about the ones I started earlier.
Just keep plugging away. If you don’t finish, then your descendants will have some fun projects to complete!
Lol, I need accountability for everything, that’s part of the reason I started my blog!
Ugh, I need to get back to my daughter’s quilt but I am a bit consumed with the 4th of July spirit and making some things to decorate the house with lol
I went through your situation a few months ago. I had so many fabrics that I needed to reduce it (who doesn’t?). The results were four table runners, and 14 table mats. I give myself some incentive (in this case, new fabrics) – and I put my head into it and just forge on. Right now, I just have to finish the binding on the 14 table mats. 1 down, 13 more to go.
haha! Easy answer. The still-insane UFO list! Using Blogland to motivate myself has *really* helped. It’s gone from 44 in January to 36 now. :) And all but 1 of those has been a large quilt, not a small project.
I started my blog to keep in touch with family and quickly found it a good place to make me accountable to all the projects I start. Like right now, I said I was going to make 4 charity quilts and said it online. Now I feel compelled to finish them. 3 of 4 done! Great incentive to getting things done.
I need to get back to it. I haven’t sewn in weeks and just need to get back to it. I miss it but even when I have a moment free I don’t seem to be making it to the sewing . . .
I am trying to finish up a king sized quilt top by next Thursday, so I need accountability for working on it every day!
Accountability…..I really need to start using what I buy before I go and buy more….fabric that is.
Happy Quilting!!
The quilt that I promised to my niece! We live states away from each other. I want to hand deliver it when I see her in July. The countdown begins. Good luck!!
I need accountability for making the Amy Butler Weekender travel bag. I just started cutting the fabric last night. By all accounts, it takes FOREVER to make!
Finishing quilts before I start anything new! I kind of reward myself. When a quilt goes from my ‘to-do’ list ot my ‘finished’ list I can get cutting! That’s what I’m working on this weekend!
Hello Amy…
Out here checking on your accountability! Well, Saturday isn’t over yet. Wait, did you mean this Saturday? heeheeheeheehee….
hugzzzzz
Um, everything? Well, my sister’s Bday quilt (which was due 5/12) that I’m still quilting, a charm pack quilt from Freckled Whimsy’s quiltalong that I never finished the border for, and a string quilt that I only seem to work on when I get an urge. I kind of put everything aside to work on my first ever design. But we will get them done, Amy! We will. Actually, I may be closer because I finally got the top completed on my design and posted about it today.
