Remember the organic fabrics I received a while back? I had been staring at them, pawing them, waiting for the moment my plan formulated! Last week I figured it out, I had a couple yards of bella – weathered teak, and decided to incorporate it to make a throw size quilt. I cut the blocks out, and thought I might get the first set of seams sewn that day…I managed to sew them completely! In one day! On and off all afternoon and evening. The next day I laid out the blocks in the afternoon, and sewed the top together! Crazy bit of productivity – usually I just work that way when I have a deadline!
My Nature Walk quilt top! I think of the blocks as a chunky log cabin. Obviously it came together quickly, and I love the meandering path created by the solids and print areas in the blocks. Perfect for a nature walk!
It measures 50″x60″ and I hope to get it quilted soon…but I’m out of batting at the moment. Soon!

Love the way the fabrics went together, cute pattern. It’s fun when you get something completed so fast isn’t it? Can’t wait to see how you quilt it.
Love Love this pattern, the colors and the fabric. This is a keeper. I can’t wait till I get your book.
cute! i love the pops of red!
That is so pretty!
It looks great! I love the solid you picked to go with those prints.
It’s lovely. I love the brown fabrics. I often use white in fabrics. I need to start using some different colors for the base.
Love your Nature Walk quilt top! Such a perfect name for it because of the meandering path created. I love productive spurts like this! Happy Valentine’s Day to you too, Amy!
THANKS FOR THE GIVEAWAY!!! I can’t wait to get all the goodies.
I’m super tempted to get the fat quarters on Nature Walk too. Can’t wait to see your finished quilt.

That is so cool!! LOVE the colors together.
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!
Beautiful, as always! Hope you have a happy day!
So am I! I need to go some more batting. Super cute design. It came together nicely. The solid sections really create a nice contrast to the patterns and make the quilt.
That is a lovely quilt and the name is appropriate…it DOES look like wandering paths…well, maybe not so wandering but paths just the same…love the way your mind works!

It’s pretty, Amy! Isn’t it funny how the urge to sew just hits sometimes, and you just can’t stop? ;-)
