If the top layer's anything to go by, it's a great bundle of fabric! I'm looking for inspiration for a 'big bed' quilt for my daughter for when she moves out of her cot, and this fabric could be a possible candidate!

OOooh I'm first! I follow you on Facebook and subscribe! I'm a big fan and love what you do both in/for the quilting community and with fabric! I love hearing about the family too!
If I were to win the Frolic I would make myself a superdooper pieced apron – I feel a little selfish but I have had the same Laura Ashley print one for 25 years and I am getting enthused by all the snappy aprons appearing in blogland!

Hi Amy, thanks for the giveaway and festival, it is going to be so much fun! I have a piece of frolic backing but nothing for the quilttop, it is waiting in my drawer for something it 'goes' with and this would be perfect !

I would sort them into each print, with all the different colors of each print together. I would get precut linties all over the place. I would maybe make a couple of gathered zipper pouches out of it eventually. (Later on I can find the link for you if you want.)

I'm not really sure what a cake layer is, but I've been trying to make a quilt which calls for one. The pattern doesn't give measurements, or yardage so it's a mystery to me. You could help me demystify, and the fabric would work really well for the pattern I'm trying to make. thanks for doing a give away.

Looking through all these blogs makes me want to make a quilt and quick. I saw a 9-patch variation that would be so easy to do with a layer cake

Fun fabrics! I don't quilt, but I do love making zipper pouches, so that is what I'd probably do with the fabric–though some might become little pillows!

I am not particularly good at quilting or patchworking, so I would probably use this layer cake for making smaller projects such as small bags or pouches or even for making softies/plushies.

Guess there was a comment problem. I wrote to say that I love the definition of the word frolic "An outburst of fun, gaiety, or mirth" – a perfect description of this fabric. It deserves to be seen and bring joy to as many people as possible, so I would make a fabulous picnic quilt (with sensible backing – the weather here is by no means reliable), for lazy summer afternoons in the park with my small person. The colours are perfect for hiding the inevitable splashes and stains, and I could use the quilt in the winter for indoor tea parties with the small one as a happy reminder of the warm weather.

I would make a lidded fabric box! – they are so versatile and every single one I have made has been snaffled up by my children and put to good use :) maybe I could keep the next one for myself!

I am thinking about making a quillow with it – Our tennants have a 2 yr. old girl that I have been thinking about making a quillow for and it looks like that fabric asst.(if cover reflects styles) would be great for that project.
