Seven Items On My Mind

I am always amazed how everyone comes out of the woodwork when fabric is up for grabs!   Glad to know I can get your attention – LOL :)  Thank you for all your comments, quite  a few of you have brought tears to my eyes, and reminded me of special moments.

–> I have a poll up in my sidebar still – it looks like the 1/4″ seam tutorial has just pulled ahead of the straight line quilting tute, 2 more days to let me know which would be more helpful to you.

–>I found this rug while browsing earlier, I see a quilt.  Don’t you?  The best part would be customizing the colors!

I really like this one too, but for a rug :)

–> I wanted to tell you that my friend Vicki is doing a Simple Squares Quilt Along, just in case you don’t have a current project or need a good starting point in quilting.

–>And have you seen Sew What! – It’s a fun blog loaded with links to tutorials around blogland!  I’ve just added to my to do list – for later :)

–> I wanted to mention the Craft Hope shoponce again, they have raised over $30K for Doctors Without Borders! Amazing!  There are still many items for sale if you are looking for away to help out.

–> After all your book suggestions, I had been waiting for my copy of The Time Traveler’s Wife via paperbackswap and now have it waiting on my shelf!  I have forbidden myself any extra reading until after I’m done writing – I tend to get caught up in a book and can’t put it down.  Not conducive to getting stuff done!  But I’m so looking forward to spending a few days on the couch with it :)

Blessings to you~
Amy

The Time Travelers Wife is a fabulous story. I listened to it on cd. It made me laugh it made me cry. I've not seen the movie yet.

Thank you so much for the sew along link! I'm currently working on a simple table runner for our kitchen however I do want to try my hand at a full size quilt. This sew along is fabulous!

You're smart to wait before starting The Time Traveler's Wife . . . it will suck you in and you won't be able to put it down!

BTW, thank you SO much for mentioning Paperback Swap a while back . . . that was the first time I'd heard of it, but now I'm absolutely hooked!

Everyone delurks when free fabric is up for grabs! I'm giving away a few blocks today but I'll never get 375 comments even if I give away my entire stash!

You are wise not to start that book… I couldn't put it down for days! Haven't seen the movie yet, but I've heard it was great too.

I was wondering too how so many people show up only for a give away. I just had one and there were many that didn't have a blog or even sew plus they are from the other side of the world.
Can't wait to see YOUR book Amy!

    Hi Amy

Love the rugs, the rectangular one would love fab as a quilt, I can even picture a few small squares in a line down the centre.

Thanks for the tip about Vicki's quilt-along, it will be the perfect nudge I need to get onto making a quilt for my daughter with the Girly Girl fabric I purchased recently.

Thanks also for the link to "Sew What", I love online tutorials.

So, I'm now following two more blogs, arrrrghhhhh…. the list is growing out of control! ;-)

Happy writing! I can't wait for some sneaky peaks at the book. (hint, hint)

Or I see wall art from Pottery barn, and want to make a quilt. Or make a quilt a rug…

Ooooh! You're right! That rug would make a very lovely quilt. Just last week, I found a quilt *hiding* in one of my baby's bibs. I'm anxious to get started on that :)

I'm reading it now :) But wait till you're done writing! Love the rug and what a great quilt it would make too!

still here… didn't play on the giveaway – hubby and I don't do VD day. We're newlyweds (9 years)… every day we count our blessings that we have each other. That is a gift in itself.

    HUGS!

Waiting for the Keeping the Feast book to come out in an ebook… I really want to read it.

Rugs are one of my favorite inspirations for borders. I am always floating around the web looking through modern rug sites and antique sites. I also like wrought iron and tile floor sites. I have enjoyed your blog and look forward to your posts. Great Job.

Like you I see quilts in rugs (and carpet) all the time! Started a computer folder of pictures of hotel carpets and tiled floors I've taken while traveling. Family members think it's nuts.

The Time Traveler's Wife was hard to put down once started. (Checked out from library after long waitlist.) I think the movie just came out on DVD so I'll finally get to watch it. Probably with only a box of tissues for company. Husband does not enjoy the "sappy" ones.
