After a week full of everything but sewing, I’m ready to relax with my sewing machine! We had a great visit with my parents, the girls were especially sad to see them go, but promises of phone calls and more visits have helped.

Yesterday Joe had a day off finally – and we headed for the hills! Well the mountains, really. We headed to Timpanogos for a family hike. We’ve collected two backpack carriers for such occasions, Owen and Sophia were happy to be on our backs and not on the path! There’s tons of trails up there, many still covered in snow, but about a mile in is a beautiful waterfall, bursting with all the melt-off of spring. Wish I had a little camera to have captured it, but sometimes the hike makes it really worth it!

About the sewing — I have cut two projects this morning. Hopefully I will get to at least one today :)
Also, did you know Jackie is podcasting?? I listened to her first one this morning while cutting – it’s fun to get to know her a little more :)

Happy Monday!
Amy
